[...] In the past, I have compared 740 Park to Apogee South Beach. I know from being inside Apogee South Beach that it is without peer in Miami Beach real estate, and apparently 740 Park has no peers as well. According to Curbed: those looking at 740 Park as a gauge of the luxury market are being quite foolish. This building plays by its own rules. [...]

That is where a condo and a co-op differ. In reference to "Campbell" are you talking the soup "Campbell?" If you are don't tell ANYONE that I just went and got a CAN of chicken noodle soup because I'm in the middle of this "flu" thing. I know it is not very "haute", but it is my stinkin' reality right now.

Thanks for commenting. All your comments are VERY interesting.

Kevin,
Koons...of course. I mean anyone can afford a RR on credit. Would prefer to see Homers', Fitz Hugh Lane, and perhaps a few Richard Estes works. I would love to know what the screening process there is for a potential buyer at Apogee? The ability to close? Or perhaps household names such as...Vanderbilt, Ingle (Ford), or Strawbridge (Campbell)...

This post really wasn't meant as a dissertation. Rembrandt, no; Jeff Koons, yes.

The reference to 740 Park is interesting but missing some key elements. I can speak first hand on this subject as my great-grandparents owned the only PH for more than 30 years. Certainly Apogee is one of the most exclusive buildings in South Florida but the wealth of the owners is meager in comparison to those of 740 Park. I doubt you would see five Rembrandt's, let alone one, hanging in any of the condos unlike the Social Register domiciles at 740 Park.
