Caroline

I don't know. I only wish the best. Not the best time to open a real estate brokerage---or maybe it is a brilliant time.....

Kevin, so is this a good or a bad thing?
If so, who is it good for and who is bad for?

Wish him well. I have seen owners come back at the end of the non-compete clause and do very well. If they were able to create something that was purchased before...they can do it again.

If they were in business a very long time before they were purchased, they would still have contacts and reputation to build on. If they only existed during the good times...then maybe not good timing to come back at this point.
