Nice job with this blog.  I saw the news coverage of it in the South Florida Business Journal.

I feel the same way you did about the tax proposals and I voted against the ballot initiative.  

Until the schools are thrown into the ring, the rest of the property tax puzzle is mainly nickels and dimes.  Schools need to step up as well with their share of the cuts.  After all, they were built up due to the explosive growth - now they need to cut back and share the pain along with everyone else.  

I wanted to mention a website that I think will help you and others make more real estate deals happen in Dade County.

After hearing for years that I couldn&#039;t get private Florida homeowners insurance on my home, I used this site and saved about 2,000 on my Dade County homeowners insurance.  Its not a typical quote generator site and I can tell from the newsletter I get from them that it is taking off.
